First of all it doesn't sound like a train whistle at all unless you are the little train you could be. Although it will be louder than your standard horn, I'd say it's on par with an old three-axle (small) dump truck, if anything. Directions are extremely limited and if you don't have the knowledge or knowledge on hand you will get lost. If you're looking for some extra sound and are interested in car electrics, I think it's great and installs pretty quickly (it all depends on where it fits in your car). I would recommend buying a longer air hose to make installation easier if you have a motorcycle or small car so you don't have to struggle to cram everything in one small place.
