Review on iHealth PT3 No-Touch Forehead Thermometer: Digital Infrared Touchless Thermometer with Ultra-Sensitive Sensors for Adults, Kids, and Babies. by Mega ᠌

No minuses as such, comfortable to use.

There are a lot of negative comments made about this piece of technology, and I personally swore at it for a while before I figured out how to use it. The results that you get from using this thermometer are excellent and reliable; all you need to do is become familiar with a few rules: 1. Before using it, do not put it on a window sill where it will get cold (next to the bed, for example). The temperature of the appliance should be at or slightly above room temperature. 2. The surface being measured (the forehead) needs to reach the same temperature as the rest of the body. It is therefore pointless to measure the temperature of the forehead if you have recently returned from a cold environment, and the temperature of the frontal bone and sinus will not be reliable for at least another half an hour. 3. maintain the appropriate distance (1-3cm). The device is ideal for taking frequent readings of a sick child's body temperature without tormenting the child or waking him up to insert an axillary thermometer. This is made possible by the device's unique design.

Pros
  • design, reasonable cost, and quickness of measurements
Cons
  • Only use it inside where there is no draft, and only then. The temperature of the device ought to be at room temperature.
