Some apartments are not designed to accommodate a modern desktop computer. If there are too few, badly placed sockets and sometimes outdated two-pin configurations, you have to improvise. This describes my home office. This device is the perfect solution for both power strips and surge protector power strips. Both the cord and the socket are durable and I intend to use them every day for the next 20 years. However, this is probably not the best option for travel, as it's heavy and the cable is a bit inflexible.
