Review on Black Weston Number 8 Electric Meat Grinder and Sausage Stuffer, 575W by Glen Sprout

HOLY COW! What a great car.

In terms of ease of use and cleaning, I haven't found anything that compares. My wife's Kitchen Aid grinder was just given away. There is almost nothing not to like about this car. The neck of this light has a larger cut and fits (and actually works better) with longer strips. That means less time "prepping” and cutting, and the power of this machine means less time sanding too. Disassembly is easy if I "overdo" the meat feed in the mincer. The accompanying sausage maker requires some training and I'll try to remember to update this information as I become more familiar with it. The good news is that it is included. The power consumption is a bit higher, but it's worth it. It is also significantly quieter than the Kitchen Aid nozzle. What is amazing is that everything that comes in contact with the meat can be easily shredded and peeled off. In one short day we were able to grind and freeze over 60 pounds of high quality beef, pork and chicken. All three grind settings (coarse, medium, and fine) are smooth, giving you the flexibility to apply the grind setting you want. I prefer a finer grind for tacos and my wife prefers a coarser grind for pasta. The medium is almost ideal for beef/pork mixtures. Being able to buy meat in bulk that isn't "presented" in pretty packaging saves money and time. Now, with the help of this wonderful machine, we can do it in a short time with minimal effort and labor. If you have enough money to save money (see what I did there?), I STRONGLY recommend going for one of these. When freezer space is needed, it can also come in handy in combination with a decent vacuum sealer. If you can, get one today. You will not regret it.
