These are really gallon sized bags. 11.1 inches by 11.14 inches. I've bought a few in the past that claimed they were gallon size and they were quart or sandwich size. In any case, we use reusable food bags on a daily basis. 6 gallon freezer bags are made from PEVA (polyethylene vinyl acetate). They feel like soft plastic, are waterproof and BPA-free. The bags have a double zip design and are airtight (or at least they used to be). They also didn't cause burns when freezing our food. They are easy to clean, but you have to do it manually. They are not dishwasher safe. Only high quality freezer bags that actually hold 1 gallon.
