Review on Jensen CD 475 Portable Stereo Player by Todd Foster

This is an update of a review I made when I first received this product (August 2018). Up to one out of three stars. After a short period of use of several weeks, it broke. The hard drive no longer rotates properly. There was a slight knock that could be noticed after about 15 hours of general use for about 4 weeks. Now the sound of the platters goes from normal to distorted, presumably due to a mismatch between the spinning platter and the head. Almost all portable CD players have mediocre reviews, across the price range. I don't know why they are so poorly made. I assume this is some kind of outdated technology and the manufacturers aren't interested in quality. They place their resources elsewhere.
