I am sure that this is a good product against bacteria and germs. But a virus is not a bacteria, and right now most people are not buying hand-sanitizers to protect against germs. They want protection against the novel coronavirus that causes the COVID-19 disease. Non-alcohol based hand sanitizers, like this one, will not work against that virus well.The CDC is recommending alcohol-based hand sanitizers for a reason. Alcohol dissolves the lipid protective layer around the virus, just as the foam of soap and detergent does, or even hot water. Without that layer, the virus cannot bond with human cells and it is destroyed. So, that is what you should look for: hand sanitizers with at least 60% of alcohol.I give this hand sanitizer a rating of one star, not because it is a bad product (I am sure it works fine in more normal times), but because the relevant information against COVID-19 is not specified in the description of the product, and that doesn't seem honest at this moment where many of us are buying products like this one to protect better to our families. Most buyers will look only at the rating before buying, Good thing that I notice the problem before receiving it, and I could cancel the delivery. So, I want to warn other potential buyers to avoid repeating my error. If you want protection against 99.9% of germs, you can buy this product. But If you want protection against that 0.1% that is not included, like coronaviruses, don't buy it.
