Review on White Light Blocking Pleated Fabric Shade - 72 in x 36 in, Redi Shade Original Arch by Gina Acevedo

I don't think I rate this as highly as some of the reviews I saw when I bought my 1/2 moon window solution. The window it's in lets in the morning light, so I wasn't sure if it would be thick enough to block it. I found it VERY difficult to trim. I still don't understand how to use a utility knife or fabric scissors as you can't cut everything at once. I started with a very sharp utility knife but it was incredibly slow so I switched to fabric scissors. It was virtually impossible to provide an even cut of every fold or layer. I cut it a little longer than I measured thinking I could always cut more, but if I cut too much I couldn't go back. I've trimmed it a few times but it still doesn't fit perfectly. I have it as close to the window as possible, but it only works until about 6:30 am, when the subwoofer overwhelms it. I would say it blocks heat better than light. I will be using it now but continue to look for a true light blocking solution.
