Unable to unscrew the barrels. I even put them in the freezer hoping it might help (due to the shrinkage of the plastic) but I couldn't open it. My husband and I have tried everything but the cap and brush part are so loose that you can't get a grip to unscrew the barrel. I've had different brands of water pens and never had this problem. I bought these because I was looking for a wide brush and this seemed the widest to me but it was a waste of time and money. i give them back Buy another brand as I'm obviously not the only one having this problem. Update November 2020: I saw someone say that the spirals are backwards, so to unscrew you have to turn right, not left. There was a little trick at first, but this allowed me to undo them all (although the big brush was still tricky). In the end I couldn't get them back so I tried again. So I've raised my rating to 2 stars but would still recommend a different brand.
