I have been using this wax for many years. I don't really like soft waxes (that I've tried), but I've always had good experiences with this one. I have to say right away that I only use it on my upper lip - I'm not brave enough to do bikini waxing myself! But for the upper lip I like it. I have quite sensitive skin - I often get rashes after waxing or threading. It's mild enough for me that I haven't had any breakouts after most uses. GiGi hard wax is very easy to use. Microwave for a minute, gently push in the wood applicator (seriously, be careful as the wax can trap air and it won't melt completely - just be careful and wiggle the applicator gently to deflate) and check for integrity . If it's really liquid, it's probably too hot. My mother taught me to always test an inconspicuous area first to avoid burns, and I'm still following her advice ten years later. Once you're sure the wax is at a safe temperature, simply apply a layer and let it set, then inhale and rip off. My hair grows very fast so this is a much cheaper at home alternative. I use this wax every 2-4 weeks (mostly depending on how lazy I am) and one can lasts about a year. I have never finished a container but I have found that after so many uses/so long the consistency of the wax deteriorates and the wax does not flake easily but tends to become brittle and crack. I have had good experiences with GiGi Brazilian Hard Wax for many years and love the convenience of the microwave formula. If you're looking for an easy way to do regular upper lip care, I definitely recommend it.
