used for heavy acrylic paint

I have a fairly serious collection of heavy acrylic paint tubes (Golden and M Graham mostly) and after years of having to sort drawers and baskets for the right color while painting and dealing with a tangle of tubes , stacked on top of each other in a mess (all tubes of paint are white with a tiny speck or streak of paint), I decided it was time to go ahead and squeeze the paint into another storage container. so that the color is visible and I can store it more efficiently. So far these bottles are perfect - they're clear, mostly "squeezable" (these bottles are NOT as soft as I was hoping, but they make it - if you're having trouble with hand strength, look for something much softer.) and have a taller and thinner profile than some of the other 2 ounce bottles I've looked at. The thinner profile means I can easily line them up in a drawer and arrange them by color family, so when I'm painting I can open the drawer, instantly select the color I want and get on with my work before painting the canvas. The palette begins to dry. They also have a fairly wide opening at the top which allowed me to pop the tubes into the bottleneck and squeeze all of the paint out at once, so getting paint into the bottles wasn't as bad as it could be. In the long run I'm not sure how they will perform to be honest. They are transparent so issues with lightfast pigments can be an issue, but I keep them in a drawer where no light shines so they should be fine. I'm not sure if they're airtight, but so far I've had no problems with the paint drying in them. They're not as "squeezable" as I was hoping (I was kinda hoping for the consistency of one of those tubular ketchup/spice bottles) and require a little shaking to get the color moving, but the convenience of doing so Being able to see the color and just being able to squeeze the color onto my canvas when I'm working in small batches rather than messing around with tubes and screw caps is worth all the time and effort decanting paint into bottles. I will update this review. when things go wrong, but for now I'm glad I decided to switch from tubes to bottle paint. I like to keep all my paints in a small space and being able to easily pick a color and paint with it in just a few seconds has completely changed my workflow. This is a game changer for me.
