Shark H301 Installation Step 1. Detach the base from the handle.2. Remove the base unit cover by removing the screws from the bottom.3. Notice where the three short screws go. If you use long screws in these places, the fittings will break.4. Pull the gray cover off the base unit.5. Unlock the bottom cleaning cover and remove it from the base.6. Remove the existing hose. Cut the tubing in half, then pull and twist at the same time to disconnect the tubing from the connectors. Another option is to lift the hose + the black base connector and then remove the hose. I used needle nose pliers and a twisting motion to pry both ends of the tubing out.7. Remove the black hose fitting from the base by gently pulling up and at the same time. This anchor has two pins. Pulling helps detach the pin from the base.8. Lubricate the outer ends of the hose. I used coconut oil on 1 inch from each end. I used a paper towel to grab the tubing during insertion steps 9 and 10.9. Screw the new hose into the black fitting. This is the most difficult step. You must apply sufficient force to the rib of the hose while twisting to fit the hose into the socket. Do not hurry. Repeat this step until the hose is about halfway into the socket. Continue twisting the hose until it is fully inserted into the socket.10. Insert the tubing into the other fitting located in the neck of the base unit. Twist and push to launch hose. Continue turning until the hose is more than 50% inserted in the fitting. I managed to paste it about 80%.11. Assemble the base and cover. First insert the short screws and then all the long screws.12. Put on the bottom cleaning cover. Lock the cleaning cover.13. Plug in the vacuum cleaner and check its functions.
