I've had several pairs of Saucony shoes that I loved when running long distances. Saucony discontinued this model so I switched to Altras which I liked because of the wider forefoot. I didn't like the last two pairs of Altras I had, so I decided to try the Saucony again. I'm not as young as I used to be so I was looking for a shoe with decent cushioning and not too much heel to toe drop. They seemed good, but they just didn't work for me. The fall pushes my foot onto the front of the shoe, pinching my toes together. The ball of the foot is quite wide but the toe box is narrower. I have duck foot with a wide forefoot so it's horrible. There is almost too much cushioning there, causing my feet to have to work in the shoe to stabilize. I wear them for at-home HIIT and step workouts, and anything where my legs are wide open (like wide squats) and my feet cramp trying to keep my toes from getting pinched. They were expensive so I tried wearing them but life is too short for uncomfortable shoes. Feet are very individual, so your experience may vary.
