A good product. Concept

I have a 3 year old Black Lab and wanted to take care of his teeth. I saw the opportunity to try them and was very excited. In general, I'm a big fan of wet wipes for my dog; I regularly use cleaning wipes and ear cleaning wipes. Looking at them they seem to be well designed and look the same as most acne pads, same shape and size. I expected them to work great. Included. Unfortunately, I find them difficult or impossible to use, at least with my pup; He really likes the taste of mint/mint. I was afraid I would have problems with his squeamishness and unwillingness to brush my teeth/gums. Instead he wants to lick/eat the pillow. I've tried it a number of times and it's incredibly difficult if not impossible to effectively rub his teeth/gums. Also, it gave me a little pause while researching the main active ingredient in it: chlorhexidine gluconate. When I did my research it seemed to be used commonly to treat gum disease and from what I've seen (just my opinion) in people it should at least not be ingested (swallowed). This may be perfectly normal and normal for pet oral care products, but it got me thinking a bit. In short, between the fact that it's almost impossible to get my dog's teeth/gums with it because he's too busy licking/eating the pad and a bit skeptical of the main ingredient/chemical, which he picks up when using, I give 3 *. This is a great product in concept and others may have better luck if they can actually get to the teeth/gums.
