This gaiter works great. My child is probably a little "different" than yours. She has droopy ears that are very cold in the snow. The tension thread helps keep it firmly on your head. It costs money.

Pros

SOFT AND WARM: This winter neck warmer is made of premium soft fleece. Smooth surface, normal use will not roll or deform. Fleece fabric keeps you warm in winter.
