Review on Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS25 - Rugged 16.1 MP Digital Camera with 8x Intelligent Zoom (Black) by Iyaan Betrann ᠌

The perfect product for any user!

Perhaps the most balanced option at the moment: - very good photos with beautiful colors, in normal light or bright optics; - wonderful 4K video especially in AVCHD; - Super stabilization system, really working; - A lot of all sorts of functions, and the most necessary and useful ones are chosen, without surpluses that few people use. At the same time, the price is just super for such a set. Approximately the same set in Olik OMD M1-MII costs twice as much, although I liked the colors there less, and the rate of fire is 60 / sec? What for? But there is USB3 and USB power - it's cool of course. I think Lumix G80 is greatly underestimated compared to more popular brands, although in many respects it is at least not worse, and in terms of the totality of the necessary characteristics, it is better than most comparable models.

Pros
  • + Lightweight and relatively compact: I bought it as a replacement for a cropped 50D DSLR - it’s really a new century, I think soon only professional DSLRs will remain - the rest will be replaced by system ones, because 2 times smaller and lighter, while the quality of the photo / video is comparable to cropped ones, and the functionality is incomparably wider. + Photo quality: in normal light or with a fast lens - excellent, with a lack of light - average - the matrix loves light and does not like ISO above 1600. + Video quality is excellent in all modes. For amateur video - behind the eyes. I especially want to praise the AVCHD format - the quality is super though in full HD, better than 4K in regular H.264. + Huge functionality, and most importantly, everything you really need: HDR, time lapse, a bunch of creative modes, 4K photos at 60 / s or a photo 1 sec before and after clicking, posfocus, peaking, I haven’t even mastered everything yet; + Excellent stabilization system - 5-axis in the body, plus a lens, and it works in both photos and videos - it's just super, handheld video - no problem, handheld photos with a shutter speed of 1/15 - easy (I was very surprised). It really allows you to shoot at night even with a whale dark lens. + dust and moisture protection, and the whale lens too. I shot more than an hour on the minus - no problems either. + Excellent electronic viewfinder, for me there is not much difference with a reflex. + Excellent screen, touch-sensitive with absolutely correct and fast response and determination of where I clicked, although the icons are small, and my fingers are big. + I would like to note the thoughtful control system, both physical buttons and the menu system - intuitive and convenient, very convenient and functional. + Built-in flash - sometimes it's better than nothing - it saves, the same backlight.
Cons
  • - the matrix, of course, loves light, at ISO 1600 it is still tolerable, the noise is removed almost without consequences in Lightroom, but 3200 makes a lot of noise and can only be removed at the cost of soap and small details, but there is nothing to talk about above ISO. So either during the day on the street, or with a fast lens. Although the stabilization system helps a lot - I shot with whale glass at night with ISO 1200 at a shutter speed of 1/30 and even 1/15 - everything is clear. But I wanted to reduce the ISO to 800 when the monitor was processing. I’ll take a 1.4 25 lens, I think the issue with shooting in the dark / indoors will be resolved. I take off one star only for this - I would like a less noisy matrix. Although, I repeat in normal lighting - there is no problem. - the whale lens is dark, especially at a long focus (for this matrix - see above), although it compensates with advanced stabilization and the ability to shoot at slow shutter speeds. It's good enough for video. And it shoots well during the day / on the street. For this money - a gift. But in the presence of extra ones, I would take, though expensive, but light 2.8 12-35, but the price tag. how the whole whale stands and there is no Dual IS 2, as on the whale, which will reduce the effect of 2.8. - the inability to charge via USB or power from an external battery / no USB3. - the materials, of course, although they are solid, are simpler than in Olympus, for example, well, this can be forgiven given the price.

I took a promotion with 2 more lenses, it would be more expensive to buy separately elsewhere
