Comes with batteries and spare batteries. That's a real PLUS! The grandson was so excited and the older kids and adults wanted to play with the gloves. Grandson is 6 years old. The gloves are a little big, but they fit well and it's better if they're a little bigger than his hands. Glad we ordered. Well packed. Great gift as we didn't know what to give him. The kids couldn't wait for dark to play outside in the dark wearing gloves!
