I was glad it said 'Made in USA' on the box and the simplest tool I received. The included case is nice with real clasps and a loop instead of the usual one piece flexible plastic. It's hard to tell from photos how big the frame is; see attached photos compared to the soda can (after use the tool was clean and shiny upon receipt). Before purchasing a kit, you should decide which adapters are appropriate for the car you are working on. It may be better to buy a large kit with tools and adapters, or maybe buy a small kit with a few adapters individually. In the end I settled on this basic kit and added the GM 6539-4 adapter set because at the time it was the best value for money to get the adapters I needed to work with my Dodge Van (yes , there are other adapters in GM kit except GM). If you are a DIY creative, you can probably service many types of ball joints with just this kit. Even before I got the right adapters, I had no problem removing ball joints on a 2001 Dodge Van using just this kit. The tool worked flawlessly and was a lot nicer than dragging the controls. In fact, even with the wishbones pulled out, the adapters are very useful to slide in and out directly, so they can also be very useful when using a factory press.
