I used to buy a Samsung headphone adapter cable because it did away with the headphone jacks on today's top tier phones and I thought so you need to use them. with your peripherals for compatibility. Their interface cable sounded great and offered enough volume with my existing quality headphones, but I found the design to be a bit quirky and lacking in long-term reliability. I saw reviews of some of their other products on YouTube and was pretty confident with their brand. Their adapter offered up to 96kHz-32bit resolution with an internal DAC chip and looked solid build quality, so I took a chance and bought it to compare to Samsung. I have yet to confirm the higher resolution of the DAC, but I feel the sound is on par with Samsung at max volume levels. I don't have headphones or headphones with a microphone, so I can't confirm this aspect of functionality, but I asked the manufacturer. Confirmation that the adapter accepts both 3-pin (TRS) and 4-pin (TRRS) 3.5mm plugs, is connected to the current industry standard CTIA microphone wiring configuration, and has a maximum audio output power of 19 mW , i.e. sufficient for my in-ear monitors and closed-back $40 Sennheiser headphones. I am happy.
