The fan is very easy to assemble and runs incredibly quiet even with vibrations. I like 12 speed. The beep when pressing the button is so loud that I refused to use it at night to avoid annoying my roommates. I'm considering taking it apart and unplugging the speaker as the manufacturer commented that you can't disable it. Really annoying when it beeps every time you press the button when switching between 12 speeds or setting the auto-off timer. For a fan advertised as ultra-quiet, this is a terrible design choice. Otherwise it is a perfect fan. PERMANENT SOLUTION: You can easily disable the beep permanently if you are comfortable with opening this fan and it will void your warranty. 5 or 6 Phillips screws are required to access the speaker/buzzer. See my photos where I point this out. If you have the tools to desolder, there are only 2 pins on the back (1 more screw needs to be removed to flip the board). I didn't have them handy so I used a small flathead screwdriver and pryed it off the board. NO MORE SOUND! This is indeed an incredibly quiet fan. Manufacturer suggestions: 1. Add a hardware switch to the device to turn on/off the speaker.2. Eliminate the speaker completely.3. Replace the speaker with another one with a much lower volume (it will be 1/4 loud initially).4. Add a knob to adjust speaker volume with a trimmer potentiometer.
