Other reviews said the black ink was "good" but there were issues with the color cartridge. So I bought black paint. And that was perfectly acceptable. The printer worked without any problems. For the simple print we make, there is no particular problem. cartridge status? There are no problems there either. Of course, the price is much cheaper than Canon inks. I would buy them again. However, I don't think I'll try color inks.
