The instructions were on the box and although not very detailed it was very intuitive to assemble the 3 parts. My old phone holder is attached to the CD case. I liked how snugly my phone sat in the mount, but didn't like that it interfered with my car's screen and vents. This obvious sits on top. I was afraid it would affect my vision but it doesn't seem to bother me. I have a symmetrical otter on my iPhone 12 max. It fits well but I'm hoping that just means it stays on the phone without falling out.
