I have two cats - a one year old, long, large black Bombay cat and a seven month old half rag doll and half (probably) Norwegian Forest cat. They weigh 15 pounds each today, so expect more weight/height. I have a standard Lg size tote bag and might buy another one. But honestly I find it difficult to carry even a squirming 15# cat over any distance, and even sharing gives them more space. They can lie side by side or sit side by side with little headroom and a little more room to grow. It turns and handles better than any other piece of luggage I've ever carried on an airport or cruise ship. If you have any doubts, I can report that I filmed (but not on camera) a male halfway down the back hole, nudging it with his hind legs. Beware - people will ask you this if you take your kittens out into the public eye.
