Lever problem solved. Didn't prewash.
Some customers have complained that the pockets interfere with the tilt mechanism. My chair has a lever and the cover fits perfectly between it and the chair. I didn't wash the cover in advance because I wasn't aware of the recommendation until it was too late to put the cover on before my sister woke up on her birthday morning. It has a slight chemical odor that will surely dissipate soon. The cover does not slip on microfiber. I didn't install straps. The arm cap part is a bit long, but that might turn out to be a good thing.
