Although they are called small bobby pins I would rate them as medium. I put one on my finger for reference so you can judge for yourself how big it is and if it fits you. They hold my fine hair great but if your hair is medium thick I suspect they are fine too. I live in an area known for high winds so I can tell you these things aren't going to move haha! They even hold small strands. What sets them apart from cheaper clips is that there are no sharp edges to snag your hair. The gripper teeth are absolutely smooth. No open seams. As a result, they do not damage the hair and are easy to pull out. The spring mechanism is strong and sturdy so I suspect they will last a long time. They even come in gift boxes, or you can reuse the box. Very pretty hair clips.
