I bought it to replace a 2 monitor setup. I use this for work, not gaming, so can't comment on the refresh rate. I'm using the monitor's default refresh rate. Pros: + Wide screen but not very bulky and heavy + Jog button is very easy to use; menus are easy to navigate + pretty decent options for adjusting screen brightness/contrast etc + built in cable management + tilt option on base + light enough to sit on some of the cheap plastic monitor stands on the market. a little wide so they take up quite a bit of space. A quirk (for me) When my laptop went to sleep and the monitor was not receiving a signal, the monitor would turn off and would not turn back on without physically disconnecting and reconnecting it. to power. It was VERY annoying. Fix(es) (one or all solved my problem) + Use the included high-speed HDMI cable instead of the cable I already had + Switch from a Macbook hub with HDMI output to a dongle with HDMI output + Use HDMI 1 port of HDMI 2 port on MacBook instead
