We use this for french fries, totes, fish fingers and toast. We don't have to turn the potatoes, kids. Fish fingers if you use this, making these dishes less of a hassle to prepare. The tray is thinner than I thought it would be, but it works. The basket is also thin. Don't be rough with it and you'll be fine. I follow other reviewers who say they cover the tray with the aluminum foil I use and sometimes parchment paper. Makes cleaning really easy.
