Switched back to the original 2x2GB sticks and all was fine.

Installed in a 15" Macbook Pro late 2011. Worked for a couple of weeks and then the Macbook started beeping 3 times on every boot indicating bad RAM. Original 2x2GB sticks and all was OK.
