Review on 🧴 Eu'Genia Shea Butter (Fragrance-Free, 2oz) - 100% Pure Unrefined Ghanaian Shea, Premium Moisturizer for Face, Body & Hair by Nicole Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great additive-free moisturizer, non-greasy, pleasant smell, anti-aging properties and more

This shea butter has a wonderful natural flavor all of its own that I would describe as slightly sweet, nutty and smoky. It comes in an attractive square jar and the 12 oz size is great. Shea butter is sealed under white plastic on the inside and the container is sealed on the outside. This pure shea butter sets into a hard lump but is easy to scrape off in thin layers with a spoon or the back of your thumbnail (don't get under your nail). I quickly rub the shea butter between my palms to warm it up and it softens, becoming creamy, smooth and easy to spread. I've used Eu'Genia's formulas with added essential oils to help spread them out a bit, but I have no problem smoothing them out on my skin. I like this for my dry, sensitive skin as I get plenty of moisture without irritating. Although it feels a bit oily at first, my skin absorbs it well and doesn't leave an oily look or feel. I use it as a spot treatment for my dry elbows, arms and legs, and problem areas that are getting tight. But I also use it on my face at night and as a full body moisturizer. It leaves my skin smooth, comfortable and well hydrated. Shea butter has many potential benefits aside from being a great moisturizer. My skin looks firmer, elasticity improves and in the short term my skin looks less wrinkled. I can't speak to long-term benefits yet, but shea butter is anti-aging as it is rich in antioxidants, vitamin E (reduces scarring) and vitamin A (improves firmness). It can help with collagen production and more. I read that it is suitable for all skin types. Love it. 5 Stars.
