Shop Fan Vornado 293 Heavy Duty AMAZING! I live on the third floor of an old house that was converted into an apartment many years ago. Due to the rise in temperature and the lack of a good heating system in winter, the temperature inside reaches 80 degrees! I was threatened with eviction if I opened the window, but you can't leave the air conditioner in the window either. I got sick and chronic migraines hate heat and I suffer from it. I had to come up with something, so I bought this fan. This is a powerful fan but not noisy at all. I have a room that isn't heated at all, so I transfer the heat from that room to the rest of the apartment. I've also installed it in other "strategic areas" of the house where (due to the lack of weather protection) air enters through gaps. This fan sucks in so much air in 10 minutes that my room is completely cooled. I can't wait to see how much I can save this summer by using it to circulate the air conditioner. The price put me off at first, but this is by far the best fan I've ever had. For such a powerful fan, it's surprisingly quiet, and when set to the lowest of the 3 speeds it's almost inaudible. I can probably do without one of my 3 air conditioners this summer. My electricity bill has not increased and I am very happy with this purchase. In addition, it is very easy to clean and almost nothing to do during assembly. Extra long cord so you can place it almost anywhere in your home. From now on I will only buy Vornado. I even love how it looks! If I could give ten stars I would!
