I was very frustrated with my Foodsaver V2244 because it was so difficult for me to get it to close the bag properly. At least 1 of the 3 seals should be fubard. And some of them ended up leaking in the freezer. 🤦‍♀️My dad's friend and I were chatting at my dad's last fish fry and a topic came up and he said the branded packs that come with him are the cheapest of the cheap and regularly fail and he recommended this brand from Avid armour. because he plays with it. So I picked this multipack as a pretty good deal (if you compare the numbers to the reel) with the bonus that I can still cut my own bags. And the biggest bag really looks like 2 liter bags, just cut them in half! But the proof is in the pudding, as they say. One of my most difficult sealing tasks is cat treats. He likes "Lickables" which are incredibly expensive for what they are. So I buy a similar product packaged for dogs (still just meat, agar and water) that is about 8 times the volume and costs twice as much, repackage and freeze. I put 3 days worth in my pocket. I can cut 1/3 liter bags and put a 3 day treat in each mini bag. And from this particular batch I only had one leak. And so far I haven't found a single bag with a slow leak, which was a problem before. I can totally feel the difference between the original bags and these bags - these bags are definitely thicker and close better. The only thing I can't confirm yet is if they hold up in the freezer. But since they're thicker and seal better, I'd be surprised if there were even a lot of them. If I find a few leaking packages I will definitely come back and update this review.
