Since these are kids headphones, I thought they would be standardized as smaller than adult ones and then adjust up to larger sizes as kids grow. Completely collapsed, these are still too big for my 3 year old and she's in the 95th percentile for head size. I compared them to my adult Bose headphones and they seem to be a similar size. I don't think they should be advertised for children as a blanket statement, maybe specifically older children only, ages 10 and up/pre-teen/teen. Other than that, they are super cute and seem to be a good quality/comfortable.
