This is a great vise for your garage or basement workbench. It's powerful enough to handle moderate tasks with confidence, and some useful features make it versatile. The 360 degree swivel is great and as other reviewers have noted they now come with mounts on either side. This allows you to pivot and lock without kickback. The grooves under the jaws also hold the cutting tubes securely. When assembling, you must be right at the end of the table so that the fixed jaw protrudes over the edge of the table to allow clamped items to fall to the floor. To confirm to other viewers, the vise is being sold by a Michigan company. but it is made and shipped from China. However, all materials are very strong and don't feel cheap or fragile. I secured the table under the table using 3/8" bolts with a flat washer, lock washer and locknut. The holes fit a 1/2" bolt. The instructions contain some recommended assembly aids.
