I have used a number of JLab products and with a few notable exceptions I have been impressed. Among the flaws in the JLab headphones I've had, the most noticeable and obvious was the bulky, ugly design. I mention this because these gaming-oriented over-ear headphones absolutely don't suffer from the same problem. In fact, the compact design makes their versatility even more impressive. With them, it's worth examining different areas individually to see if they're right for you. Sound: games - 10/10, music - 7/10. They are gaming oriented so they sound fantastic for gaming (and movies/shows as well). They excel at playing sound effects and dialogues. Everything seems very dynamic and spontaneous, as if you were right in the middle of the action. They're good for music. They tend to be a bit bass-heavy at the expense of clarity in the mids and highs. That's not the main thing, but they are far from audiophile quality. They are definitely good for everyday listening. As an audio enthusiast (if not a total music lover), I wouldn't choose them primarily for music, but they're one of my favorites for gaming, which is particularly impressive considering their affordable price point. Comfort - 9/10. I have a large head so for them to fit comfortably they need to be more or less stretched to their maximum size. Due to the compact design, the earcups are not as big as others. For a user with well above average ears, this can be a problem. My ears are pretty average for a tall person and they fit. Overall, they're fairly light, compressing just enough to stay firmly in place but not enough to cause fatigue. They are great for long gaming sessions. The soft part of the earcups is covered with soft mesh fabric for extra breathability. I live in a hot climate, and although I air-condition my house, about 2/3 of the year it's about 76 or 77 degrees inside, which for me is the maximum comfort. The breathability of the earcups is definitely to be welcomed. Connectivity - 10.10. The Bluetooth works perfectly. Pairing is simple and straightforward, with more range than needed for almost any purpose. I had no glitches or falls. I use Bluetooth for PC gaming. For console gaming, they can be connected to your controller for wired/wireless audio using the included cable. It also works exactly as you hope it would. Battery life is 10/10. The specified 60 operating hours are correct. What else could you possibly need? They will work in many games. Features/Other Notes: - They have a nice, compact body. They fold up and fit into a small but compact case that easily fits in most backpacks or computer bags. The microphone extends and retracts. Considering they're usually quite small, it's great that they were able to accommodate that. Verdict: At $70, it's a lot better than most of the competition you'll find at this price point. They offer versatility of use and they fit and sound pretty good. Good show JLab!
