I have read and taken note of the negative reviews. I tested these kicks and they worked great. Clean the exact holes in the excess 2mm waterproof boot leather. I have also used it on 8oz leather and the results have been the same. I use underlay and often put leftover leather underneath. For now they will be my strikes. I always apply beeswax before I start stamping and often during the longer sides. The leather used in this wallet is 2mm thick leather originally used for military boots. It is handmade and 100% waterproof. It is very rigid and difficult to punch and cut. These irons did a good job. I'll use them until they break and then maybe buy more. If you're hesitant about negative reviews, I recommend collecting them anyway and then posting your own review.
