Pretty nice helmet. I wish (well, no, I don't) that I could tell you how it works in the event of an accident. But I do not know. I have to admit that I have a little faith in the Bell name and hope that Bullitt carries some of the scientific and technological advances of its non-retro counterparts in the Bell line. So let's get to what I know, the pros and cons of the style. .Pros- Looks cool. Yes, I know helmets are about safety first and I don't have to worry about how cool I look. However, I am 100% sure a helmet is more effective if you wear one. And I am 100% sure that this helmet is more effective than wearing nothing at all. Don't be embarrassed because you want to look cool. If you didn't wear a full face helmet because you thought it didn't look cool and you're wearing it now because you think it looks cool, then you're safer because of it. wide. You can see more of the world while maintaining the security of a full-face helmet. Is it 3/4 or half bowl? Of course not. But it's nice and wide, you have excellent peripheral vision, and the added bonus of not having your jaw blown out if it lands on your face. Good airflow. it's relatively convenient. - Easily interchangeable protective mask. If like me you hate wearing sunglasses under your helmet this is perfect. And when the sun goes down, it simply switches back to transparent. Cons - The fit is kinda. Part I. It takes some time to get used to. When I first rode it I was a bit discouraged because the band around my forehead wasn't very comfortable and was pinching so hard it was giving me a headache. It's improved a bit on later rides, and with the padding on the inside being a little tighter on my head, it's definitely more comfortable. The headache is gone. But I wouldn't plan a long tour for the first time. - Montage, Part II. It can be broad around the cheeks, as was the case with me. The helmet comes with 25mm cheek pads in the large helmet. I got the 35mm pads and noticed an immediate improvement. Assembly, Part III. The helmet can fly off quickly. Not much, but enough to make it a little annoying. In the city, a speed of 50-55 km/h is quite normal. Reach 75 and you'll notice the wind getting under the helmet and pulling it up a bit. This has been slightly improved with tighter cheek pads. All of this is to say that I would not take any trip longer than 25 or 30 minutes without installing a windshield on the cruiser I drive. If you're just around town or hitting 70-75 for 10 minutes straight, you're probably fine. - wind noise. This is not a silent helmet. On the other hand, it's a retro helmet, so you have to deal with that. Overall I'm glad I have the helmet, mainly because of the wide opening and the improved fit after putting it on a few times and getting an interchangeable cheek piece. pads I would like to point out that the Premier Trophy is a great helmet and I would love to get another one one day. Right now I have a Bullitt, a Premier Trophy. i like them both
