For those of you looking for a quality USB cable for digital audio applications (DACs, recorders, etc.) this is it! I ran a series of AB listening tests to connect it first with the venerable Belkin F3U133V-06-GLD Gold Series 6ft Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Cable and then with the even cheaper 3ft Monoprice A to B plug -Male 28 USB to compare 2.0 cable. /24AWG (gold plated) (105437) . Result? It sounds identical to Belkin and better than Monoprice. What do I mean by "better"? It's louder, giving a totally subjective sense of enhanced "fullness" as you can hear more at higher volumes (to a point, obviously). I don't want to go into too much detail on snake oil, so I'll just say that it adds volume, which isn't too subjective. Since you want as much volume as possible at the source level so you can control it from the output device, a louder cable is a better cable. In the eternal debate between cable advocates and cable deniers, I'm trying to find a middle ground: cable. matters, but you can get to the point of falling returns for less than $10. That being said, if you'd rather spend $3,500 on a Kubala-Sosna Research Realization USB cable, God bless you! :)
