The last disk I bought from Seagate was very disappointing and for a long time shook the reputation of the company in my eyes (look for it in my reviews, if you are interested), so when the desire to ate the park of hard drives in my home computer matured, I bought two terabytes of the "reliable" RE4 series out of grief from WD. Soon I thought and decided to take the third, but cheaper - Caviar Blue. On the other hand, I didn’t want to put all the data eggs in the basket of one manufacturer so much that I doubted it. In the price list of the store I found an attractive option - a relatively fresh one-pancake terabyte with the same 64 MB of cache, but from that same ill-fated Seagate. Reviews poured honey into the ears - quiet, fast, cold, thin, erasing memories of the failures of the company that has badly tarnished its reputation. I really wanted to believe it, but memory is such a thing that justified doubts interfered with making a final decision. However, I decided to take a chance and . I bought it. The disk surprises with its really unusually small thickness. I have never had such thin ones. So far it suits me in terms of speed and noise, but the meager warranty period is embarrassing - only six months, which, as it were, hints . I don’t know if my choice was right or not - time will tell, so I’ll ate the review if problems arise. - Well, almost two years have passed - and Seagate already has 8 reassigned sectors! I continue to monitor the situation. Yes, it is a system one, but I have three more older WDs of 1 and 2 terabytes, one of them is on torrents - this is not there (pah-pah). In general, the next drive will NOT be Seagate, or solid state. - Three years later, Seagate died like a bean in disgrace, taking my movie collection to hell with him! And I kept thinking that periodic slowdowns of the system are from my love to open a bunch of tabs in the browser - but no! Sad ending! On the other hand, now we can say with confidence that the sad statistics of the deaths of my Seagates are not accidental, and I will no longer trust this manufacturer with my data.
