Review on πŸ“· K&F Concept Camera Backpack: Waterproof Roll Top Photography Bag with Laptop Compartment and Rain Cover by Elder Unogu

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Durable, quick access, tough as nails, very comfortable to wear

I'm a professional photographer and spend a lot of time on commercial fishing boats here in Maine. Keeping my gear safe and user-friendly was tedious and expensive. I accidentally found this bag while searching for Revain one day - and I'm so glad! This bag was worth it. I recently did a 3 day multi-boat tour of the two islands of Maine. This bag has survived multiple lobster and seaweed shipments, but more importantly, NOTHING was wrong or even wet in my gear (except getting water on it when shooting). The bottom structure could have used some stickier velcro on the bottom drawer, but this wasn't an issue during use, just a note. I put a small DSLR pouch in the open top for a second large DSLR and used the bottom shelf for my DSLR and Nikonos V (dive film camera). I managed to fit some film, a light meter, 2 large DSLRs, a dive camera (about the size of a mirrorless camera and lens) and some rain covers for my gear. I carried my laptop in it during a trip to the islands and it worked well, I just took it off to take pictures on the water. It was also very easy to access my gear - no fiddling around and feeling like the bag was slowing me down. It was also very comfortable to wear. I'm a small person and have carried heavy gear up and down ramps at low tide (that's a 20 foot lift), over the sides of boats, in and out of the boat and down some trails to get to the beach got shoreline and never had to readjust or move the bag. A notable feature of this bag is the outer material. It was really hard. I really abused this thing and it was ok. He was baited, lots of seawater splashed on him, seaweed stuck to him, I dragged him through a crude lobster trap when I was in a hurry to move. nothing has damaged it and it wipes down very easily so it doesn't stink like a lot of my other bags after being treated that way. The roll closure is perhaps one of the strongest I've ever used. This is a really great feature. Survival Story: On my second raid they dumped the tank they keep their lobsters in on deck in the lobster shack so they could be weighed and I forgot my bag aft (where it drains). The water tumbled down and the bag stood upright in 3 inches of water for a few seconds - nothing got wet except for the fabric straps on the outside and the padded back. Also, some kind of bait had hit him before, and he was already quite mature. I emptied it (removed the tray) and tossed it in a cold water bath with some castile soap and vinegar at home and it dries easily and has no smell. Conclusion - don't submerge - as the description says, it's not a real stuff sack. But it's damn close. If the bag can easily protect gear and survive a three day lobster and seaweed fishing marathon in Maine, I think it's a solid purchase.
