EDIT: I've had this item for a few years now and really like it and have changed my review to reflect that. It's great when the edges are a little smooth and fairly tight. I'm glad I made the purchase and while I didn't contact the company (anti-aliasing had already been done), I appreciate their responsiveness and willingness to fix things. I would definitely buy another item from them. Attractive and functional, BUT BE CAREFUL! BENEFITS - * Looks great * Vented top - computer doesn't get hot, hooray! * Side drawer - ideal for pens and pencils. CONS - * BEWARE of splinters! After getting the first shard, I moved and used it very carefully - just to get more fragments! Unfortunately due to this issue I do not want it to be used by a bedridden person or child - which may be the reason for this purchase. * The legs fold in when the table is moved - when moved from one place to another. - let's say if you kneel next to you - the legs can collapse when backing up, and if you have something on the table you risk it slipping off. The legs are quite strong, but the joints are not very strong. I hope the screws can be tightened a bit to prevent this. All in all, as much as I personally love this table, I cannot recommend it due to the chippings. I also feel that it should have sufficiently strong joints so that the legs don't break when moving. If the manufacturer corrected these shortcomings I would give this table five stars - it's REALLY beautiful and very sturdy apart from the leg hinges falling apart.
