Ok, thought I'd try my luck and ignore the comments. I succeeded several times. came to write my review while being brought back (wait outside now to have a laugh), a comment in the ask questions section said we needed to download the fire tv app; something Amazon Tech let me do for remote troubleshooting on their end when my original stopped working. b4 by buying this fake. Wi-Fi only btw) and follow the instructions by selecting the name of that remote when it shows up in the device list or something else. Maybe it worked. Maybe it didn't work. But who the heck wants to add another hotspot to their (already stocked) Android phone that you don't use once the remote is paired and to top it off you can only use the hotspot in Wi-Fi mode as this is the case How should I control my TV until the original remote controls are available? 2.21.21 for $39! (Another $10 will get you a new full firestx4k smgdh. Did a remote replacement. :(
