These are not traditional shoes. They are very ventilated and their entire padding system is pretty odd. However, my young son loves them. He loves them for their color and for how lively they feel. Now he runs on a treadmill and only wants to wear these shoes. I can't blame him for that, because they fit very well for indoor shoes. (I'm a little worried about durability due to the very open sole design with all the arches open, but so far they're working really well). The only thing I don't like is that they are a slip on style and we couldn't adjust the fit. However, he likes them and wears them, so it's a win.
