I'm definitely not a professional barber but because of the expensive haircuts I had to learn how to cut my own hair. I've tried them all, from Walmart clippers to cheap buys from Wahl and Andis. In short Pros: even trimming around the head regardless of the setting - powerful motor cuts through thick hair but doesn't vibrate excessively in your hand - adjustable blade (recommend buying attachments) - long, thick cord - Cons: machine is heavy (z who doesn't cut hair will notice the weight of this beast) - absolutely no grip (smooth body) and can start to slip like hand tires - yes the rumors are true, these clippers get hot (no big deal but resting every 10 minutes will help ) - They don't cut as close as I thought, even at setting 0 (I recommend the Headliner II for very accurate cutting, blending and lines) - Everyone says these clippers are decent and cut well, and even especially the fade, but if you practice, practice and practice some more you can get cheap walmart clippers to make a nice fade and style, thanks, I hope it helps
