Like many other reviewers stated, the spray guard in the front of the potty is a little short and poorly placed. We've had pee come over the top several times, however my son is just over 2 and on day 10 of potty training and has figured out that he just needs to hold his pee-pee down to prevent any messes. We give him a little reminder when he sits down "hold your pee-pee down!" but he remembers on his own mostly. I think it's totally manageable and honestly a good first step to the "aiming" process that will come later when he learns to pee standing up. Gotta know how to control that thing!Aside from that, its easy to clean, sturdy as a step stool, and has a nice minimal design. Buying another for downstairs.
