Provides optimal amount of light at night

These little lights look nice and bright, especially if your eyes are used to the dark. I put one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom so I could navigate in the middle of the night without turning on the regular lights (which always made it hard for me to get back to sleep). My husband insists on completely dark sleeping conditions so night lights are out of the question no matter how dark it is. Those red lights don't seem to bother him though and they've been a great investment.
