Elasticated waist. If you have a very thin child (like me), the waist will fit. It's almost too crowded on the side. My daughter usually wears a size 5/6. She's short and thin for her age, but she has long legs. The fabric and construction of the jumpsuit is really good. It doesn't look or feel cheap. My biggest downside is that it has little to no stretch making it impossible for my daughter to take it off and put it on herself because she can't do or unbutton the loop/button at the back as the neckline doesn't. t stretch, she fights. to get his hands off her. I got this in hopes that she could wear it to school as a light outfit and that's not possible. She would have to have her teacher help her with the button every time she goes to the bathroom. She wanted to take it off immediately when she felt that her hands would get stuck in it unaided. My other scam. What I can't fault about the jumpsuit is that the legs are short. They look like tides unless they are upside down like in the picture. Usually, the pants that fit around her tiny waist don't match the length of her legs, so that's to be expected. Looking at the picture of the folded cuffs I should have guessed they wouldn't be longer. If your child doesn't have long legs, they're probably the ideal length. I still wouldn't buy it because a kid can't button the back. Overall I find the jumpsuit a bit small, especially as I have already ordered a size 6-7 which would normally be too big for her in most stores. I have to give it 4 stars just because it's difficult for them to get in and out.
