Poor quality control
The 17mm ball end is too small to hold a small Garmin NUVI GPS Navigator securely, the device needs to snap onto the ball and have enough friction to hold the GPS in place to keep. Due to the poor manufacturing tolerance of the ball tip, the GPS device wobbles with every bump and every curve. Definitely wasted money.
