Review on Tripp Lite Industrial Protector TLM609SA by Daniel Shivashankar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Rugged, powerful - works and is designed for heavy use

Made of metal. Safer, more resilient. Update: I've had several over the years. Everything is working well. Strong and muscular. I removed the plastic ears from one of these to suit my application. It was relatively easy to make, yet it was a solid extension cord in a metal case. (The plastic ears are also strong and chunky, adding extra protection.) As for the portable power strip, I can say that it's probably the best I've had. But it is also a network filter. My knowledge of electronics gives me enough knowledge to understand that I cannot judge the quality of a surge protector by looking at it. . Most likely, this is the middle of the street. for overvoltage protection. The only weak point is of course the power switch. I can tell he's an idiot. Mine didn't fail, of course; but there are several streaks for others, judging by the reviews here. Daily knocking in a truck or tool bag will almost certainly result in the switch needing to be replaced. If this is your plan, be prepared to replace it. Suitable for placing under a table, attaching to a bench or wall in a laboratory or workshop, etc.
