I bought a 10ft cable from iXCC about 5 years ago. Now all I have to do is swap the cable because I dropped my phone while charging and the phone landed at an angle on the micro USB port. Despite this, the cable still works, it just needs to be held at a very specific angle. For the first two years I used the cable as a power cord for a wireless Xbox One controller (no need to worry about batteries in this case). I've been using phone cords for three years. Over the years, the retention pins on the micro connector had become so worn that they could no longer hold the connector securely in the phone port, but that was to be expected. I suspect that this cable was actually intended for industrial use, not commercial use. because this cable is a bit thicker and stronger than a normal phone charging cable. After the micro connector failed, I decided to do some overly ridiculous stress testing. When we hung the cable over the crossbar, we found that the cable could support the weight of two adult men without breaking (about 350 pounds combined). After that, the plug was held into the phone at a very specific angle and allowed to charge the phone. :) For the price I got a lot more out than I thought.
