If you get to this review after reading the ones posted before me and are still considering purchasing then PLEASE let this be the last review that you have read. Everything that all other negative reviewers have written is absolutely true. I ALSO received a product that was clearly used, was missing hardware, the packaging was damaged, and there was clear evidence that someone else had tried and failed to install it. It took me 5 trips to the hardware store to figure out how to install this thing. This should be my first red flag. Then I had to go back to find a weird battery that NOBODY carries. This silly thing is almost impossible to hang up despite being made out of cheap lightweight plastic. Inside the case, there isn't enough room for wires, a remote control receiver, and a frequency converter, let alone reach in and tighten the mounting screws. That should have been my second red flag, but I'm a stubborn AF. I have installed over 10 ceiling fans in my life, this is not user error. But I really needed a flat fan with closed blades because I'm installing it in a basement with low ceilings. I had to hire a professional to install it. Def is not user error. After the fan was installed, after having to modify the ceiling mount to hold it, I turned the power back on and, hooray, lights, lights, lights, lights, lights. This damn thing keeps flashing between three colors of light temperature and the fan won't turn on. I've been told that either the internal wiring is a problem or the fan isn't working in the US. In any case, this thing is dangerous and should not be installed. I missed the return window by 6 days because the damn thing took so long to install. RUN
